What I Would Have Worn to NYFW 2014

As many of you know, New York Fashion Week has come and gone leaving us drooling over the upcoming fashion trends that we’ll see this Fall/Winter season. Every year I yearn to fly to the The Big Apple and sit front row at a great show like Tory Burch or Marc Jacobs. A girl can dream, right? One of the things I love about New York Fashion Week is that the people attending the shows (famous or not) get the celebrity treatment and almost get to feel famous if only for a moment or two.

When attending a show one thing you will notice are all of the photographers outside waiting to snap NYFW streetwear. Even the little people are noticed. This had me thinking. If I were to go to NYFW what would I wear? So many possibilities ran through my mind but at the end of the day I have to be true to myself. Below I created a set on my personal Polyvore page (Edenslove) featuring my NY Fashion Week inspired look.

Right now I am crazy about Varsity Baseball Jackets. The Sporty trend is BIG on the runway this season. I would then pair it with a shirt dress because they are so simple yet chic and can easily be dressed up. I’d have to go with a printed clutch and a pair of strappy heels. But because it is New York and it’s freezing right now I’d rock a cute Beanie with an eye catching slogan. To finish my look off I’d wear a long necklace, round sunglasses and keep my makeup soft and fresh but create a cat eye for a trendy effect.

There are so many street styles at New York Fashion week so you really cant go wrong. Some people go way beyond the bounds of what I think is tasteful but are accredited to being creative and artistic. So honestly it really is a fashion playground that one day I hope to merry-go-round in.

Ever Fashionably Yours,

Sarah
