In A Mothers Shoes: Jessica Alba’s Dr. Martens

What I love most about celebrity moms is they not only look like they can juggle the world – i.e: being a mom, a wife, and having a career – but they look so stylish doing it!

Jessica Alba, mother to two adorable daughters, Honor and Haven, wife to Cash Warren and founder of The Honest Company, is a fashion inspiration. I love how she always stays in trend. Jessica not only looks chic all the time, but super comfortable as well. There isn’t one word to really sum up Jessica’s style. She mixes trends to suit her lifestyle. A few trends that I adore are her colorful sunglasses, overlarge scarves, flannels, floral pants and, my favorite – her burgundy Dr. Martens.

First, I don’t think anyone is too old for a pair of Dr. Martens. Whether or not they look too youthful depends on how you wear them. Jessica seems to always get it right. In my Polyvore set below, I dedicated the outfit to Jessica and her burgundy Dr. Martens. Just because we are moms doesn’t mean we cant be fashionable. Don’t limit your fashion self. Thinking, “I’m too old” or “I’m a mom” will get you into Not Your Mom Jeans faster than you can say I aged myself. Remember, when styling these super trendy items that less is more and class means everything. I think Jessica has this down pat. The next shoes on my list this year to get? The burgundy Dr. Martens Jessica has rocked so well.

Ever Fashionably Yours,

Sarah
